AAECP (Animal AM-Emergency Clinic of Pasadena) is a busy 24 hour animal hospital. We are looking for day clinic and emergency hour veterinary receptionists to join our team.
Day clinic reception: Weekdays and weekends 8am to 6: 30pm
*Must be able to work holidays. Full time and part time available.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Receptionist represents the professional image of the practice to callers and visitors. The receptionist answers telephones, greets clients, prepares patient files and escorts clients and patients to exam rooms, receives and relays client correspondence, updates client financial records.
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service background
- Excellent typing skills
- Familiar with AviMark practice management software desirable but not required
- Some computer knowledge required; comfortable with Word, keyboarding, and use of communication tools such as text and email
- Must be able to multi-task well in an extremely busy environment (Example - checking in/out patients and managing answering up to 6 phone lines at the same time.)
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Significant experience with basic office functions in a busy office environment
- Previous veterinary practice receptionist experience, minimum 2 years
WORKING CONDITIONS
May be standing for long periods of time.
May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises and animal feces. May be exposed to bites, scratches and contagious diseases.
