In our new Electric Vehicle Systems Business Line (EVS) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.
Here's where you'll make an impact:
In the role of Senior Specialist, Model Based Software Engineer you will have a key position in research and development of software solutions and algorithms for management of various types of battery systems. You’ll apply your knowledge in software development and model based design to execute technology development tasks assigned to the internal development pipeline. Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering software concept designs in pre-development project. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to present your innovative ideas to support technology road map planning.
We hope that you would have:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a suitable field
- Earlier experience with software development
- Experience in model based design and knowledge of system simulation (preferably with Matlab Simulink)
- Knowledge of embedded systems, hardware software integration and testing
- Understanding of li-ion batteries and battery management systems is considered as an asset
- Analytical, detailed and logical way of working
- Good co-operative skills and readiness for action
- Fluent spoken and written English, Finnish and German language skills are an advantage
