Dimensions are supporting one lady aged in her 30's to live independently in her bungalow. She is happy and engaged in meaningful activities such as swimming, bowling, shopping, and going for long walks. The support provided is 2:1. It is essential that all shortlisted applicants can work as part of a team and can develop positive working relationships with all those involved with Dimensions - including those we support, families, carers, internal colleagues, and external agencies.
Your role as a Support Worker would include supporting people with their medication, supporting and teaching the people we support to do their housework, including cleaning and laundry and you will help the people we support to shop for things they wish to buy including their clothes and food, and to prepare their meals as required. As a Support Worker you would be expected to support, encourage, and teach people to maintain personal and intimate care as required, such as dressing themselves, showering/bathing, using the toilet, etc.
Be prepared to work flexibly. This could include working some weekends and sleepins if required and bank holidays. Shift times are 8am-10pm on a 4-week rolling rota.
"The current pay rate of £10.71 per hour will be increasing to £11.00 per hour from 1st September.'
