Together with our customers, we have developed My+, the Laboratory Information System (LIS) that streamlines the laboratory diagnostics workflow, ensuring efficient laboratory sampling and analysis processes and providing crucial information for treatment decisions. As we are now expanding and scaling internationally, we are looking for an experienced and visionary Product Director to spearhead our future product portfolio.Product Director at Mylab
The new Product Director will drive our product portfolio strategy and product vision formulation, and set the direction for the overall design and development of our My+ total service. You will be in charge of managing a small team of product managers who collaborate tightly using the SAFe framework with our operations management, who are responsible of the specification, design, development, and delivery of our software products. You will have the opportunity to drive modern software solutions in the Lab informatics space, continuing Mylab’s success as a leading provider of medical information systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Define product roadmaps and value propositions that incorporate Mylab strategic priorities, the vision for the My+ total service, and customer requirements
- Identify opportunities to innovate and keep up with relevant Medical Technology industry and regulatory trends, translating them into product requirements
- Set the product portfolio vision, coordinate the product roadmaps, and collaborate closely with cross-functional development teams and customers
- Channel customer expectations into an actionable customer experience vision
- Contribute to business development activities to build our presence and grow revenue on the international markets
- Coach the team of product managers in the refinement of product requirements and other deliverables
- Ensure the successful resolution of product issues identified by customer-facing teams
- Evangelize Mylab products and their new features and become the subject matter expert for internal audiences, external customers and partners, and market-facing communications
- Define and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and effectiveness of the product portfolio
- Be a role model for the company culture
Requirements:
- 7+ years as product leader with enterprise software products
- Extensive experience with one or more of the following: enterprise SaaS solutions, medical information systems, data analytics platforms
- Ability to understand and communicate architectural requirements, preferences, and limitations
- Solid business acumen and ability to contribute to the development of the company's business model
- Degree or proven experience in computer science, engineering, business, or life sciences
- Good internal and external communication skills in English, preferably also in Finnish; written, verbal, and formal presentation, with a dynamic and inspiring presence
- It would be nice to see you every once in a while in our office in Tampere, Finland
Bonus points for:
- Experience with Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Medical Technologies, or Diagnostics products in the Quality, Labs, or Manufacturing space, or regulated software
- Prior hands-on software product creation or product/technology leadership experience
- MBA or equivalent
- Communication skills in Swedish or in some other Scandinavian language
