We are seeking a Business Development Representative to join our Weekend team.
Every Saturday and Sunday on-call from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- You must be compassionate, empathetic, and have patience.
- You must also able to respond quickly to referrals, monitor incoming faxes, and help coordinate admission to hospice services.
- Hospice experience preferred.

Primary Function: To support the Business Development Department with the pre-admission process remotely.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serves as the initial point of contact for referral sources on weekend on-call
- Respond to incoming referrals which includes phone calls, monitoring Forcura, Expanse, 4 Next, and CarePort portals.
- Speak with patients and families about hospice services, and what Faith & Family Hospice has to offer for end-of-life support.
- Complete Patient Narrative Form for all patient and/or family conversations.
- Verify insurance with AHM.
- Collect data from referral source and input into WellSky.
- Review and complete consent for hospice forms with the patient and/or family.
- Process the hospice referral completely.
- Communicate with referral source and weekend on-call nurse to coordinate patient assessment, and admission.
Job Requirements:
- Previous hospice experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the Hospice Medicare benefit
- Commitment to the hospice philosophy of care
- Ability to monitor referral portals frequently throughout the day
- Ability to speak professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and referral sources
- Access to phone and email
- Must have adequate Wi-Fi service
- Good computer skills
Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Director of Business Development
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
