Packing Assistant [United Kingdom]

 

We currently have a position for a part-time packing assistant based at our kitchen at Stoke Climsland near Callington. The successful candidate will have a key role within the production team. No experience is necessary as full training will be given.

The focus of the position is to be responsible for the labelling and packing of jars

Responsibilities:-

• accurately print and apply labels
• ensure that the quality of the labelling is as expected by the company and the customer
• build packing boxes and pack jars
• assist the team with loading of boxes onto pallets and applying appropriate wrap ready for dispatch
• ensuring the packing area is tidy, organised and clear of debris to meet H and S standards
• to wear appropriate uniform, head covering and safety footwear (provided) and remove any jewellery and piercings

Experience and skills

• physically fit, able to stand for a long time and work on your feet
• highly efficient and well organised
• ability to work in a speedy and methodical way to keep up with the pace of production
• an excellent work ethic and a can do attitude

The hours would usually be Mon- Wed 11am-4.30pm although a degree of flexibility is desirable. Initially for a 4 month period to cover our busiest production period although there is potential to be a permanent position in varied roles within the business for the right candidate.

Part-time hours: 16.5 per week
