We are looking for an enthusiastic Technical Trainer to educate team members in a technological field of Accounting and Finance. You will develop technical training programs and help others develop skills that will make them better professionals.
Technical trainer must be extremely knowledgeable in their field of expertise and possess solid technical aptitude. Additionally, we expect you to be an excellent communicator, able to explain complex subjects in a clear and interesting way.
The goals is to contribute to the development of peoples technical/ IT Skills to meet firm needs.
About the role
- Devise technical training programs according to firm requirements
- Conducts training needs assessment by collecting and analysing information on employees’ skillsets and development needs
- Determine system utilisation requirements by researching and testing the systems.
- Evaluate technical team members and identifies areas needing improvement
- Produce training schedules and agendas
- Determine course content according to objectives
- Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets etc.)
- Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually
- Arrange for and conduct on-site training when needed
- Keep and report data on completed courses, absences, issues etc.
- Observe and evaluate results of training programs
- Determine overall effectiveness of programs and make improvements
- Source development tools, course, and material to help develop team members
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
- To support the recording of CPD points for all technical team members.
Requirements and Skills
To be a successful Technical Trainer at Mazars Australia, we are looking for the following attributes:
- Proven experience of training team members
- Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects
- 3 years and above’ experience working in an accounting related role
- Completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree (or equivalent)
- Good attention to detail and able to work quickly and accurately to tight time schedules
- Experience of Xero or other cloud accounting packages would be beneficial
- Experience of MYOB package would be beneficial
- Strong numerical and IT skills
- Sound Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
- Willing to learn and be keen and committed in a working environment
