The Unitech Power Systems team consists today of 40 leading experts, working with exciting projects that include advanced electrical power systems, offshore wind, integrated power systems, offshore electrification, and power from shore. Most of our projects contribute to significant reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
We combine strong analytical capabilities and strong equipment competence with deep system knowledge to create the best solutions for our customers.
We are looking for one or more candidates holding an MSc or a PhD degree, with relevant experience ranging from a few years up to senior adviser level, within electrical power engineering that wish to work with other specialists and be (or become) a recognized specialist and adviser to our customers.

Unitech Power Systems AS was established in 1985 and was owned by employees until February 2022, when all shares were acquired by Aker Solutions Holding AS. Unitech Power Systems still operates as an independent specialist consultancy with the same management as prior to the acquisition. However, the new ownership offers new and exciting opportunities with a clear long-term strategy, especially in the international energy transition market.
We have offices in Stavanger, Oslo and Fredrikstad and successful candidates can be in any of these locations.
We are particularly looking for candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- High voltage cables, particularly submarine cables
- Protection Devices and Protective Device Co-ordination
- Insulation co-ordination
It is a plus if you have experience with one or more of the following:
- Design and/or engineering of electrical power systems and/or equipment
- Modelling and simulation/analyses of electrical power systems
- Finite Element Method (FEM) modelling and analyses
- Reactive power and voltage compensation technologies and strategies
- Offshore wind power industry
- Scripting (typically in Python)
Successful candidates are:
- Proficient in the Norwegian language (or committed to learning Norwegian)
- Proficient in the English language
- Able to work efficiently on his/her own, but also in teams
